Samsung Galaxy A12 India variant will come with 4GB of RAM, says the new leak

Samsung Galaxy A12 is coming to India very soon. Ahead of the official launch, specifications of the India version of the smartphone have leaked online. According to the leak, Samsung Galaxy A12 India model will come with identical specs as the global version but with subtle modifications.

The leak says the India version will come with only 4GB of RAM. It will have either 64GB or 128GB storage, according to GSMArena (via leakster Abhishek Yadav). The leak further says that the phone could be priced around ₹12,999.

Samsung Galaxy A12's Indian variant is said to come with a 6.5-inch HD+ Infinity-V display, 48-megapixel + 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle + 2-megapixel macro + 2-megapixel sensors, 8-megapixel front-facing camera, and 5,000mAh battery.

The new leak comes after the handset was spotted on the BIS certification website and Samsung's support page.

Samsung Galaxy A12 global version

Samsung had launched the Galaxy A12 in November last year alongside Galaxy A20s. The Galaxy A12 comes in three variants with price starting at Eur 179 ( ₹16,000 approximately). The phone comes in black, blue, red, and white colour options.

The global version of Samsung Galaxy A12 comes with a 6.5-inch display with Infinity-V cutout and HD+ resolution. The phone runs on an octa-core processor. It is available in three combinations - 3GB+32GB, 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB. All the variants of Samsung Galaxy A12 come with a microSD card slot for additional storage up to 1TB.

A 5,000mAh battery powers the phone. It also comes with 15W charging support.

On the back, the phone has a quad-camera setup. The configuration is 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens, a 48-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, it has an 8-megapixel selfie camera.

Other important features of the phone are 4G LTE support, USB Type-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, and side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
