Don't miss to look up this tomorrow as a rare event of five-planet alignment will grace the night sky. Stargazers can witness the conjunction of Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn on June 24. The event will be visible from the earth's eastern horizon just before the sun rises. While it is usual to see an alignment of three planets, conjunction of five is rare, reported Sky & Telescope. The most remarkable thing about this alignment is all the planets will be arranged in their natural order from the Sun.

The five so-called "naked-eye" planets will be visible on June 24 for about an hour, and the early risers can see the event with binoculars. As shared by Sky & Telescope magazine, the planetary lineup will be more compelling as Mercury will be much easier to snag, making the five-planet parade accessible. That's not all, the skywatchers will also be able to witness the waning crescent Moon positioned between Venus and Mars, serving as a proxy Earth. Do note that by this time of month, the planets are spread farther across the sky and the distance between Mercury and Saturn becomes 107°.

As per the report, the best time to see the rare lineup on June 24 is 45 minutes before sunrise. Four of the naked-eye planets have been aligning for the past few months, shared NASA, however, Saturn, Mars, Jupiter and Venus will spread out over the next few months while Venus and Saturn will become invisible by September.

This rare alignment of the five so-called "naked-eye" planets has taken place for the first time since December 2004. The lineup was visible by binoculars for about half an hour before the sunrise on June 3-4 and it is all set to provide another wonderful visual experience tomorrow.

According to Diana Hannikainen, observing editor of Sky & Telescope, skywatchers in the Northern Hemisphere can see the event from the eastern to southeastern horizon while ones in the Southern Hemisphere should look along the eastern to northeastern horizon.
