Lenovo Lemon K12 series to launch on December 9

One of the Lenovo Lemon K12 smartphones is expected to be a rebranded version of the Moto G9 Power.

Lenovo has announced it will launch the new Lemon K12 series on December 9. The announcement comes shortly after a Lenovo K12 Pro smartphone was spotted on FCC.

Lenovo hasn't detailed how many smartphones it plans to launch on December 9. The company did tease a new smartphone which will compete with Redmi's Note 9 series. This Lenovo smartphone has four rear cameras in a square module, and a punch-hole display. There's also a dedicated button on the side for possibly Google Assistant.

There aren't many details on the upcoming Lenovo Lemon K12 series but a recent report suggests that one of the smartphones will be Lenovo K12 Pro, and it could be a rebranded Moto G9 Power. A Lenovo smartphone with the model number XT-2091-8 which is similar to the Moto G9 Power's was spotted on FCC. The FCC listing also revealed the smartphone's key specs which are similar to the Moto G9 Power.

According to the FCC listing, Lenovo K12 Pro will come with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone will feature triple rear cameras, and a punch-hole selfie camera. Lenovo K12 Pro is also listed with NFC, and Wi-Fi 5GHz. The smartphone's design is also the same as Moto G9 Power.

Lenovo is reportedly changing the brand name as it is better received than Motorola in markets like China. Moto G9 Power is a mid-range smartphone priced at 199 euros ( ₹17,400 approx). Lenovo K12 Power is expected to be priced around the same.

The Lenovo Lemon K12 series will make its debut in China on December 9. There's no word on when Lenovo will bring its new smartphones to other markets.
