Poco will launch a new smartphone today. Called Poco M3, the smartphone will join the company's small M-series that currently featured M2 and M2 Pro. Poco will unveil the new handset at a virtual event at 20:00 GMT+8 (5:30PM IST). Ahead of the official launch, Poco has already revealed some of the top features of the handset.

According to Poco, M3 will come with a 6.53-inch display with a waterdrop-like notch on the front. Another official teaser reveals the phone houses a triple camera setup stacked in a square-like camera module on the back. One of the sensors will be a 48-megapixel one. The phone is also confirmed to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor and a 6,000mAh battery.

Earlier, reliable leakster Ishan Agarwal had revealed some features of the upcoming M3. According to the leakster, the phone will be available bright grey and blue colours with textured back panel.

The phone is said to house a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It will have 4GB of RAM. On the software front, it will run on Android 10-based MIUI 12 out-of-the-box. For selfies, Poco M3 could offer an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The 6,000mAh battery will support 18W fast charging.

As of now, there is no word on the availability of the phone in India. But it's safe to speculate the phone will hit Indian shelves in the near future. As far as pricing goes, the M-series has targeted the 10,000- 15,000 segment. The M3 is unlikely to be any different.
