Yes, Twitter was down in India and other parts of the world

Several users, incuding those in India, are not able to access new tweets as well as the news feed when refreshed. This is for both the iOS, Android and web users.

Twitter was suffering an apparent outage in certain parts of the world. 

Several users, incuding those in India, were not able to access new tweets as well as the news feed when refreshed. This affected iOS, Android and web users.

Besides  India, the website and the app was down in Malaysia, Myanmar, Indonesia, Bangladesh and Nepal according to downdetector website.

As per the website, users started facing the issue from 8PM IST. The company has not given any statement yet.

Twitter has been making the headlines this month, mainly for its drastic steps taken regarding the US elections.

According to an AFP report, Twitter is going to place notices on top of users' feeds to warn them about delays in full election results and that people might see misleading information about voting by mail.

The microblogging website even blocked posts from an adviser to President Donald Trump who downplayed the role of masks during the pandemic.

On the other hand, it recently released a new emoji that marked the Silver jubilee celebrations of the DDLJ or Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge movie. The newly released emoji looks like the giant bell that the actress Kajol purchases while on her trip to Switzerland with Shahrukh Khan.
