Indian brand boAt launches Stone 1200 Bluetooth speaker; check price and specs

Portable Bluetooth speakers are one of the most competitive market segments as far as the smart home device market in India is concerned. There are many companies that offer pocket-friendly Bluetooth speakers in India. The list not only includes devices like JBL Clip 3, JBL Go 2, Sony SRS-XB13, LG PH2 by giants such as JBL, Sony and LG but also portable speakers by companies like Mivi, boAt and Zebronics and even pTron. Adding to this trend, Action Technology in collaboration with the Indian audio brand boAt has launched a new portable Bluetooth speaker in India.

The newly launched portable speaker is called the boAt Stone 1200 Bluetooth speaker. It is priced at ₹3,299 in India and it is available in the country via Amazon India, boAt-lifestyle.com and retail shops in three colour variants, which includes -- Maroon, Black and Blue.

Coming to the specification, the boAt Stone 1200 portable Bluetooth speaker features a 360-degree cylindrical design with stands at the bottom. In the middle of the speaker towards the top there is a circular module that houses all the controls, which includes two buttons to control the volume, a smart assistant button, a button to fast forward the music, a button to play or pause the music, a button to start TWS audio and battery indicator LED lights. It also comes with a carry strap making it very convenient for users to carry it around.

As far as the technical details are concerned, the boAt Stone 1200 portable Bluetooth speaker features two 76mm full-range dynamic drivers with an impedance of 6 ohms and sensitivity of 75 decibels. It comes with IPX7 dust and water-resistant coating, which makes it ideal to be used along the pool and amid slight drizzle. It has Bluetooth version 5.0 for connectivity that works within a range of 10 meters. It also has Type-C port, AUX and FM for connectivity. The boAt Stone 1200 portable Bluetooth speaker comes with a 3,600mAh battery, which the company says offers a playback time of nine hours and a charging time of four hours.
