It looks like Apple fans might face some disappointment this year as the upcoming iPhone 12 series are said to miss out on the 120Hz refresh rate panel this year. The news comes from Ross Young, the founder and CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants, on Twitter. Young, who himself claimed previously that iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max may feature 120Hz display, now says that it might not be the case afterall. Besides mentioning this, he also gave a list of upcoming smartphones that are in fact expected to feature 120Hz display. The list doesn’t include the upcoming iPhones.

The list however, mentions unannounced handsets like Asus ROG Phone 3, Google Pixel 5, Lenovo Legion, Samsung Galaxy Fold 2, Samsung Galaxy Note 20+ and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.

Until now it was rumoured that the anticipated Apple iPhone 12, 12 Max, iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max would feature a 5.4-inch, 6.1-inch, 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screen sizes. The dummy units of the handsets have also been showcased in a couple of videos.

One of the recent videos even compared the dummy unit of the iPhone 12 with this year’s iPhone SE. As per the YouTuber, the 5.4-inch iPhone 12 is almost the same size as the new iPhone SE except that the screen in the 5.4-inch handset is bigger because it has a notch-laden full screen instead of SE’s thick bezels on top and bottom. Although the dummy models did show triple rear camera setup at the back, the YouTuber does confirm that the end product could have a different setup.

There have also been enough rumours on the iPhone 12 models getting delayed this year. However, we can only talk about it in detail as and when we come close to the launch.
