iPhone tips and tricks: Change these iPhone 13 settings now

You can customize some of the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13 Pro or iPhone 13 Pro Max settings to boost your premium smartphone performance to another level. Enable full-screen incoming call alerts on iPhone

Apple had changed the new notification layout for incoming calls in iOS 14 last year and the same is still available on iOS 15. Earlier the incoming call screen used to take over the entire display when the iPhone was unlocked and being used. This allows the user to connect or disconnect the call at ease. However, incoming call notifications sometimes led to missed calls. You can now make some changes in the call settings and enable full screen notification. Go to Settings, click on Phone followed by Incoming Calls and enable Full Screen.

Change Siri's voice on iPhone

Siri was upgraded with two new voices after iOS 14.5 rolled out last year. Siri earlier had a female's voice by default, however, now you can choose Siri’s voice while setting up a new Apple iPhone and the same will be applied across all of the devices linked to your Apple ID. You can change the voice options by going to Settings followed by Siri & Search and going to Siri Voice.

Turn off 5G coverage on iPhone

Apple introduced a Smart Data feature to its 5G phones that allow users to automatically switch between 4G LTE and 5G networks. You can switch off the 5G coverage and allow the phone to always use 4G LTE even if there’s 5G coverage. This will improve your iPhone’s battery. Open the Settings app then go to Cellular, click on Cellular Data Options and open the Voice & Data and tap LTE. Alternatively, if you want your iPhone to use a 5G connection, you can turn 5G On.

Switch off 5G on iPhone

You can control the usage of data on a 5G connection by changing data mode in the settings tab of the phone. Go to Cellular Data Options under the Cellular setting and select any of the available data mode- Allow more data on 5G, Standard and Low Data Mode. This will set your data usage and allow you to enjoy features like high-quality video and FaceTime calls accordingly.

Unlock your iPhone through Apple Watch

Apple's Face ID tech built-in allows users to unlock the phone by showing their face, however, it becomes frustrating for people these days as they are forced to wear a face mask due to Covid-19. Since half of the face is covered, Face ID just doesn't work. But, you can unlock your iPhone even while wearing a mask by customizing this simple setting. You can unlock your iPhone via an Apple Watch. You just have to go to the Settings and open the Face ID & Passcode option. Enable the Unlock with Apple Watch and it’s done.
