ROG Phone 5 Ultimate FINALLY in India: Know first sale date, price

Republic of Gamers (ROG), a sub-brand of Asus, has announced the sale of gaming smartphone ROG Phone 5 Ultimate. One of the main highlights of the special edition smartphone in the ROG Phone 5 lineup is the 18GB of RAM. Even though the ROG Phone 5 Ultimate was launched back in March of this year, it was never put up on sale in India. This is the first ever sale of ROG Phone 5 Ultimate since the launch.

The ROG Phone 5 Ultimate is priced at ₹79,999 in India; a huge rise from the regular ROG Phone 5 price, which was launched with an introductory price of ₹49,999. The new smartphone will go on sale on December 26 via Flipkart at 12 pm.

Asus ROG Phone 5 Ultimate specs and features

The ROG Phone 5 Ultimate is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G featuring 18GB LPDDR5 RAM and a massive 512GB storage. The smartphone features a ROG Vision display with a monochrome PMOLED matrix display at the back that matches the rear frosted white glass colour scheme. The ROG Phone 5 Ultimate is equipped with a Samsung-built 6.78-inches 144 Hz AMOLED HDR10+ certified display with 300 Hz touch sampling rate, and 24.3 mili-second touch latency.

The ROG Phone 5 Ultimate bears a 6000mAh battery and a 30W fast wired charger. Additionally, the smartphone features an‘ AirTrigger 5’ control system with rear touch-trigger buttons, physical control over the games, and also features 10 motion-control input gestures. The ROG Phone 5 Ultimate cameras include a 64MP F1.8 Sony IMX686 main sensor camera that can record in 4K and 8K HDR. This is coupled with a 13MP Ultra-wide lens and a 5MP Macro lens. In the front, it has a 24MP camera for selfies and video calling purposes.

In addition to the smartphone, Asus also includes a frosted white ROG Aero Case, ROG AeroCooler 5 accessory with physical trigger buttons, and Exclusive ROG stickers, 30W HyperCharger.
