Honor launched its latest smartphone with a ‘notch display’ in India today. Honor 9N is available in three storage variants with a starting price of ₹11,999. The smartphone will be available in India starting July 31 exclusively via Flipkart and Honor’s e-store.Honor 9N is an upgrade over the Honor 9 Lite which was launched earlier this January in India. The biggest difference between the two is the notch display design. Honor 9N also features a 2.5D curved glass. The smartphone comes in four colour options of midnight black, sapphire blue, lavender purple, and robin egg blue. For photography, Honor 9N has a 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel dual-camera setup at the rear, and a 16-megapixel front camera. The smartphone packs a 3,000mAh battery, and runs Android 8.0 Oreo-based EMIUI 8.0 on the software front. Honor 9N starts at Rs 11,999 for the 3GB plus 32GB variant, and Rs 13,999 for the 4GB plus 64GB variant. There’s also a top model with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage which will retail at Rs 17,999. Game Suite: you can play games while answering calls at the same time. Ride mode: Customise your phone to respond to calls and messages when riding a two-wheeler. Party mode: Sync up to seven Honor devices to play music at the same time. Quick access to Paytm with one-tap pay option.
Honor 9N features face unlock which works for notifications as well. It also has a rear fingerprint sensor located at the top center. The rear fingerprint sensor can be used to answer calls and take photos, and also silence alarms.
Honor 9N has a dual-camera setup at the rear which is a 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel combination.
Honor 9N sports a 16-megapixel selfie camera which is claimed to offer good photos in low-light conditions. It features 3D face contouring, smart and gender beautification, and the ability to change image backgrounds.
Honor 9N will be available in four colours of ‘Midnight Black’, ‘Sapphire Blue’, ‘Lavender Purple, and ‘Robin Egg Blue’.
