Motorola is finally catching up with the competition with its new Motorola One Vision. Launched in Brazil on Wednesday, One Vision is Motorola's first phone with punch-hole camera, 48-megapixel rear camera, and glass gradient back panel. The smartphone is priced around ₹23,000 and will be released globally including Asia, Middle East, and Australia in coming months.
Motorola One Vision is based on Google's Android One. Out-of-the-box, it runs on Android Pie and is eligible for Android Q update whenever it's available. It is also eligible for Android R update which is expected to launch in 2020. With Android One, users get near-stock Android experience, guaranteed security patches, and best of Google's software features like Digital Wellbeing and improved Assistant.
Motorola One Vision: Full specifications
Motorola One Vision comes with an "industry-first" 21:9 CinemaVision 6.3-inch Full HD+ display. On the back it has 3D Corning Gorilla Glass gradient colouring.
For performance, Motorola One Vision relies on Samsung's Exynos 9609 processor - another first for a Motorola phone. The phone comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB built-in storage. It supports expandable storage up to 512GB via a microSD card.
In the camera department, Motorola One Vision comes with dual-rear cameras including a 48-megapixel sensor and a 5-megapixel sensor. One Vision uses Samsung's camera sensor unlike newer phones such as OnePlus 7 that use Sony's IMX586 sensor. One Vision camera is equipped with optical image stabilization (OIS) and comes with a Night Vision mode which is said to help take bright and sharp photos with more detail in darker lighting conditions. On the front, it has a 25-megapixel selfie camera.
Other key specifications of Motorola One Vision include USB Type-C port, fingerprint sensor, and 3,500mAh battery with TurboPower fast charging technology.
