Apple Watch wears Pride colours this month

While Apple is yet to announce anything on the Apple Watch Pride edition, there have been some announcements regarding the Pride edition bands. This time, the bands are more than just carrying the Pride colours – they carry a lot of hidden messages. “Members and allies of the LGBTQ+ creative community at Apple were inspired to deliver a new expression of pride through this unique design. Utilising the comfortable, durable, and adjustable Sport Loop design, Apple used a new technique to remove several of the double-layer nylon-woven textile loops on the band to reveal the word “pride” in a cursive style inspired by the original “hello” greeting — displayed on the first Macintosh in 1984 — giving the word a novel, three-dimensional look and feel,” says Apple.

The colour gradient on these Pride bands incorporates the original rainbow colours from various pride flags, which includes light blue, pink, and white. These colours will represent transgender and gender-nonconforming individuals, as well as black and brown, symbolising Black and Latinx communities. Apple says the colours also represent those who are living with or have passed away from HIV/AIDS.

There's also an Apple Watch Pride Edition Nike Sport Loop band goes replaces the white with black stripes.

Moreover, when customers purchase the Pride band, the Apple Clip functionality will also customers to quickly access the new watch face.
