iPhone 16 Plus was launched in India at the Apple Glowtime event on September 9, 2024. The Apple iPhone 16 Plus was launched as a part of iPhone 16 series that also consists of iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. iPhone 16 Plus price in India starts at Rs 89,900 for the 128GB storage variant. The 256GB and 512GB storage variants of the iPhone 16 Plus are priced at Rs 99,900 and Rs 1,19,900 respectively. Apple offers iPhone 16 Plus in five colour options - Black, White, Pink, Teal and Ultramarine. The iPhone 16 goes on sale in India from September 20.

Just like other Plus models, the iPhone 16 Plus comes with a bigger display and larger battery capacity in comparison to standard iPhone 16. It costs Rs 10,000 more than the standard model. Key features of the iPhone 16 Plus include a new Camera Control button, action button, A18 chip, Apple Intelligence, and redesigned camera module.

iPhone 16 Plus looks quite similar to its predecessor iPhone 15 Plus but without the new vertical camera module. The iPhone 16 Plus gets on-device AI support with iOS 18.1. The phone runs the new iOS 18 out the box and will get features like AI writing tools, call summaries and transcriptions, along with others in the coming iOS updates.

Just like other phones in the iPhone 16 series, the new iPhone 16 Plus gets a new "Camera Control" button on the bottom right side of the phone. The new capacitive button allows users to quickly access camera tools and adjust settings such as exposure, zoom, and depth of field.

The iPhone 16 Plus is powered by an A18 chip with 6-core CPU, 5-core GPU and 16‑core Neural Engine. It features a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR display with OLED technology and a 60Hz refresh rate. The iPhone 16 Plus’ display offers 2,000 nits peak brightness with fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating. The device is rated IP68 (maximum depth of 6 metres up to 30 minutes) under IEC standard 60529.

When it comes to camera, the iPhone 16 Plus comes with advanced dual-camera system with 48MP primary camera that gets support for super-high-resolution photos, and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. The camera system supports 2x telephoto zoom.

In terms of battery, Apple claims that iPhone 16 Plus can offer up to 27 hours of video playback and up to 100 hours of audio playback. The phone can get to 50% charge in around 30 minutes with a 20W adapter or higher paired with a USB‑C charging cable, or a 30W adapter or higher paired with a MagSafe Charger.
