The iPhone Air launched at Apple’s Awe Dropping event on 9 September 2025 at 10:30 PM IST. Positioned as a lighter and more affordable alternative to the standard iPhone 17, the iPhone Air features design refinements, updated internals, and a strong focus on portability.
The base iPhone Air with 256GB storage is priced at Rs 1,19,900 in India. It is available in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options, making it one of the more accessible premium Apple smartphones. Pre-orders will start around 5:30 PM IST on 12 September and go on sale starting 19 September.
The iPhone Air comes with a dual rear camera system featuring a 48MP Fusion main sensor and a 12MP ultra wide sensor, offering high-quality photos with advanced computational photography. The front camera is an 18MP sensor with Center Stage for improved selfies and video calls.
Powered by the A19 Pro chip, the iPhone Air offers strong performance and energy efficiency. It supports 5G connectivity across Indian bands and Wi-Fi 7. The battery life is optimised for all-day use despite the slim 5.6mm thickness, and it supports MagSafe wireless charging.
