Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) March 2022 Update: The BGMI Holi Dhamaka 1.9.0 update brings a new Starting Island and Sky Island.

Battlegrounds Mobile India's developer Krafton has released a new update for the game to kick off Holi celebrations. Dubbed as BGMI Holi Dhamaka 1.9.0 update, the new version will bring a bunch of exciting themes and improvements to the game. Like its earlier Spider-Man: No Way Home collaboration, this time too the game has added a new theme mode. Players downloading the update will be rewarded with a Wild Ambition set coupon that will be valid till 7 days. BGMI Holi Dhamaka Theme mode 

Krafton has introduced BGMI Holi Dhamaka Theme mode on the eve of Holi. Players can find this in the Ranked section for Erangel and Livik. The mode features a new Starting Island and Sky Island that will be visible after jumping out of the plane. On Sky Island, the character's face will transform into a cute circle allowing gamers to loot Hex Shop coins on the island that can be used on the ground. Note that the Sky Island will be available for a certain period of time only, and gamers will have to land on the ground. In addition to these, in the new theme, the character's head will keep growing when the gamers will be hit by an enemy. Once gamers are defeated, the character's head will inflate like a balloon and they will float up in the air. However, squadmates can save each-other. 

BGMI Rainbow Plaza and Camp 

The new BGMI Holi Dhamaka 1.9.0 update has also brought Rainbow Plaza and Camp on Erangel map, with new interactable entities. Gamers can interact with items in these locations to spawn crates with weapons, armour, and other items. Besides these, they can find a new vehicle- bicycle in Rainbow Plaza and Camp. The bicycle can be stored inside the backpack and used whenever needed. But note that, you cannot shoot while riding a bicycle and it cannot be destroyed. 

Playground 

The new BGMI Playground update got much wider than before with platforms placed across the map. These will help gamers to move around the map faster. The Playground also has a new Racing mini-game where players can compete in races with their friends or have a relaxing solo drive.
