BTS Universe Story game coming soon, here's what we know so far
Based on the teasers, the BTS Universe Story game will let fans explore the K-Pop group's storyline.
K-Pop group BTS is getting its second smartphone game soon. The new game titled “BTS Universe Story” will be offered by Netmarble, the same company behind the first game “BTS World” that launched last year on June 26.
Netmarble has started testing BTS Universe Story but everything seems very cryptic now with many details still awaited. Unlike BTS World, BTS Universe Story will be a sandbox game, according to a report by Koreaboo. In sandbox games, players have a huge amount of creativity to complete different tasks. One good example of a sandbox game is GTA. The teaser video of the game features a BTS member's character expected to be Jin in conversation with a cat who says, “Find the map of the soul, then all this can end.” Map of the soul is a series of albums from BTS.

This game may serve a whole different purpose than just being another BTS game. BTS Universe actually exists, well fictionally but it features a long storyline that BTS fans have been trying to explore and understand all these years. It started with the music video “I Need U” in 2015. There are short films, a webtoon and even a book on the BTS Universe.
Some fans have also noticed that the cat in the video is the same one that appears in TXT's storyline. For those unaware, TXT is another K-Pop group from BTS's parent company, Big Hit Entertainment. Fans are speculating a connection between BTS and TXT in the upcoming BTS Universe Story game. Details are still scarce on this new BTS game but it is said to launch by the end of Q3 this year.
