Call of Duty Season 9 update to bring a new map, features, and lots more

Activision is gearing up for a big update to the popular Call of Duty Mobile game. Ahead of the official roll-out of Season 9, CoD developers have begun teasing the upcoming features and additions to the game.

The upcoming Season 9 will bring the ability to create your own ultimate weapons in the Multiplayer and Battle Royale. The new feature will be available through a new item called Gunsmith.

Another feature that is confirmed with Season 9 is the new Shipment 1944 map. The new map is another small-sized war zone. Spread in a square area, the Shipment 1944 appears to be set at an abandoned dockyard.

The layout is spread in two key areas. The first features two intersecting lanes and second is the perimeter. A smaller sized map on Call of Duty Mobile sees immediate action. It's advisable to keep moving and carry sharp and light weapons. Shotguns and SMGs can be very useful on this map.

“In the tight confines of Shipment 1944, Scorestreaks offer the chance to land some big kills. Air-to-ground attacks are the winners here, as most players will be laser-focused on handling what's directly in front of them. The MQ-27 Dragonfire, the Stealth Chopper, and the VTOL can cause absolute havoc,” said Call of Duty Mobile in a blog.

Apart from a new map, Call of Duty fans will be in for a new scorestreak, called Sheild Turret. The new scorestreak seems to be faster and more accurate in terms of kills.

Separately, Fossbytes reports that Call of Duty Mobile Season 9 has been delayed as it was supposed to arrive this weekend. Also, Call of Duty Mobile has extended Season 8 for at least two more days. So far, CoD Mobile has confirmed a mid-August release date for the new season.
