Crash Bandicoot: On the Run! is now available globally on Android and iOS devices. It was scheduled to launch on March 25 but it actually released a day earlier. The mobile version of the iconic PlayStation game is brought by Candy Crush developer King.

The game has been up for pre-registrations since last July with an exclusive Blue Hyena skin available for those who pre-registered. Crash Bandicoot launched way back in 1996 as a PlayStation exclusive. The game features Crash Bandicoot, an experiment by Doctor Neo Cortex whom he tries to defeat.

Crash Bandicoot: On the Run! is a Temple Run-like endless running game where you'll have to jump, spin and smash to move to upper levels. The game is indeed new but King is maintaining the old experience with classic characters, bosses, enemies and lands. The journey includes places like Turtle Woods, Lost City and Temple Ruins. Players will also encounter classic enemies and bosses like Scorporilla and Nitrus Brio. The three actions in this game include running, jumping and spinning. Crash's sister Coco is also part of the game, and there will be ingredients that can be collected during the runs.

The game's story is explained as, “Dr. Neo Cortex has dispatched iconic villains across the multiverse to take control of all dimensions. With the help of his sister Coco, Crash must bash Cortex's minions back to their own dimensions!”

Crash Bandicoot: On the Run is available to download on App Store and Google Play Store, and is sized less than 200MB but additional content will have to be downloaded in the app. The game is free but there are some optional in-game items that players can purchase.
