Fortnite concert series to feature a mysterious, ‘record-breaking superstar’

Fortnite has teased an upcoming concert that is going to star a huge celeb. Gamers can now unlock rewards for the first wave of Rift Tour quests.

Unless you have been living under a gaming rock, you'd know that concerts on Fortnite are a thing. The next big Fortnite concert is set to happen very soon, as game developer Epic has teased, but who is going to star in it remains a mystery. Epic had announced an event it calls the Rift Tour which is going to take place over August 6 and August 8 and this tour is going to witness a series of events across different time zones.

Epic describes this Rift Tour as a “musical journey unto magical new realities where Fortnite and a record-breaking superstar collide”. There are also some game quests that you have to complete. “Starting today, you can unlock rewards for the first wave of Rift Tour quests. Hop into the game between July 29 through August 8 to unlock the first rewards,” Epic said on the dedicated Rift Tour page. These quests can get you rewards like Cosmic Cuddles loading screen (Art by Delicious Design League), Rift-sterpiece Spray, and the Cloudy Kitty emoticon.

Epic had earlier teased an alien-themed event that was scheduled to happen on August 6 and had kicked it off with an in-game countdown. “Because the Rift Tour experience spans five showtimes over three days, we've added the Rift Tour tab to the game menu. The Rift Tour tab allows you and your friends to schedule the showtimes you plan to attend, as well as keep up-to-speed on the latest Rift Tour Quests,” Epic adds and the page also says that there is more information coming on August 2.

Now, the thing that we are really interested in, who is the superstar that's going to headline Fortnite's next concert? According to rumours, Ariana Grande could be the next star we see on the Fortnite virtual stage. And it is possible that she might be joined by the likes of Travis Scott and Marshmello. Marshmello's Fornite performances have been some of the most popular in-game events to date. We'll have to wait till August 2 to find out more.
