Every month, before the official release of the free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers, several sources leak the upcoming games. Likewise, the PlayStation Plus free games for April 2022 have surfaced online. And that turned out to be true! Yes, you will be glad to know that three new games are coming to your PlayStation in April, it's official.

PlayStation Plus, which is a premium subscription service for PS4 and PS5 gamers, provides gamers access to several services, including online multiplayer as well as exclusive discounts across the PlayStation Store. Not just that, but the subscription also lets users choose and download the PS4 games. PlayStation Plus free games for April

Sony has announced to add three new free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers in the upcoming month in a blog. It mentioned the names of these free games which include: SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated, Slay the Spire, and Hood: Outlaw and Legends.

The first game, Hood: Outlaw & Legends, the action video game, developed by Suno Newscastle was earlier released in May 2021 for all leading consoles including PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Whereas, another free game on the list Slay the Spire, was developed by Mega Crit Games. It was launched in November 2017 for PlayStation 4. And the third game titled SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated was developed by Purple Lamp Studios, and was published in January 2020 for PlayStation 4.

Besides these games, Sony also suggested PlayStation Plus subscribers download March's PlayStation Plus games before it disappears to download. “You've until Monday, April 4 to add Ark: Survival Evolved, Team Sonic Racing, Ghostrunner (PS5 version only), and Ghost of Tsushima: Legends4 to your game library,” the PlayStation blog mentioned. Additionally, it also said that Persona 5 will leave the PS Plus Collection on May 11. Hence, if you are interested to play, then you should add the game to your game library before May 11.
