PUBG Mobile was the top grossing mobile game in May recording over $226 million in user spending, Sensor Tower reported. This is a 41% growth for PUBG Mobile as compared to the same month last year.

PUBG Mobile received around 53% of its total revenue from China. 10.2% revenue came from users in the US followed by Saudi Arabia which contributed 5.5%. While it scored the highest in terms of overall revenue, PUBG Mobile ranked second in Apple’s App Store. It has an even lower rank of eight on Google Play from Android users.

Another game from Tencent took the second place in overall gross revenue and that’s Honor of Kings. It earned $204.5 million in gross revenue with 95% earnings from China. Thailand, where the game is known as Garena Realm of Valor, contributed 2.2%.

The other games that follow are Roblox, Monster Strike, Coin Master and Three Kingdoms Strategic which grabbed the third, fourth, fifth and sixth positions respectively.

Sensor Tower also pointed out that Pokemon Go had its best revenue month since September last year. It generated $82.2 million in May which is an increase of 45.5% year-over-year. Lockdowns hit Pokemon Go literally as people couldn’t go out to play the game. It instead introduced new ways to make it possible for people to still play Pokemon Go without stepping out of their house.
