“Legends is an entirely new experience — it’s a separate mode that doesn’t follow Jin or the companions from his journey, but instead focuses on four warriors who have been built up as legends in stories told by the people of Tsushima,” explains the PlayStation blog.
The story missions on Legends are not related to the main story of Jin Sakai but on four other warriors and are inspired by Japanese myths and folklore.
“Ghost of Tsushima’s single-player campaign focuses on an open world and exploring the natural beauty of the island, but Legends is haunting and fantastical, with locations and enemies inspired by Japanese folk tales and mythology and an emphasis on cooperative combat and action,” the blog adds.
With four players users can take on the wave-based Survival missions to fight some of Tsushima’s toughest enemies including new Oni enemies with supernatural abilities.
Sucker Punch will also be added a Raid mode shortly, once Legends releases this Fall and will involve a brutal and terrifying enemy.
Legends is arriving on PlayStation 4 in Fall 2020 as free downloadable content (DLC).
