Spider-Man: Miles Morales features a cute Spider-Cat that becomes your fighting companion. Turns out that you can actually pet the Spider-Cat in the game. It also features a popular dialogue which goes in line with the Spider-Cat's background story.

In a video shared by Can You Pet the Dog on Twitter, we can see Spider-Man petting the cat who is also called Spider-Man in the bodega. Spider-Man's dialogue while petting the cat, “He takes a pet like no problem. That's a great cat,” is actually taken from a real-life video of a bodega cat.

In the actual video, there's this man petting a bodega cat saying, “He takes a pet like no problem, right? Not afraid at all.That's a great cat right there.” You can spot this scene in a detailed gameplay of Spider Man: Miles Morales shared by H20Delirious on YouTube, as spotted by The Verge.

Spider-Man discovers his cat buddy through a bodega robbery where the cat is stolen as well. In case you're unaware, bodega refers to a convenience store or a deli which is very popular in New York City. And bodega cats are really popular too. There's even an Instagram page dedicated to bodega cats.

Spider-Man finds Spider-Cat in a backpack which he takes later to return to the owner. The bodega cat jumps on his bed and instantly curls up on it. Other than being cute, Spider-Cat also helps Spider-Man to fight villains with his scratch attacks. Spider-Cat in action is seen sporting its own Spidey eye mask.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales launched earlier this week on Sony PlayStation 5. The new console has gone on sale in markets globally but it's yet to launch in India.
