American appliance brand White-Westinghouse to enter the Indian market soon
White-Westinghouse is entering the Indian market with licensee partner SPPL, the brand is going to launch a range of semi-automatic washing machines on Amazon.
American consumer appliance brand White-Westinghouse is all set to make an entry to the Indian market with the launch of its semi-automatic washing machines.
Collaborating with the Indian manufacturing firm Superplastronics Pvt. Ltd. (SPPL) that is investing ₹300 crores, the brand will launch its range of washing machines with prices starting from ₹7,499 on Amazon.
SPPL will be step up its operations with this launch as the firm is all geared up to set up a new manufacturing unit spreading over 300,000 square feet in Noida.
In the appliance business for over 100 years, White-Westinghouse is currently used under license by trademark owner Westinghouse Electric Corporation. The brand sells appliances in more than 45 countries world over and is finally marking its entry into the Indian market.
White-Westinghouse is looking to tap into both the urban and the rural markets in India with their range of affordable washing machines.
The brand currently has semi-automatic washing machines in three sizes - 7 kg, 8kg and 9kgs with prices starting from ₹7,499.
