Dyson Corrale is a hair straighter. It costs ₹36,900 in India and it is available in Black Nickel/Fuchsia and Purple/Black colour variants via Dyson India website, Dyson Demo stores, e-retailers and select Croma stores.
Hair straighteners are a fairly common gadget among people with long tresses or curly hair. They make the hair more even and manageable. Owing to the limited use-case, this device has remained largely unchanged over the years. Now, British tech company Dyson has launched a new device in India that aims to challenge this status quo.
The company on Monday expanded its line of hair-care products in India by launching the Dyson Corrale. To give you a quick brief, Dyson Corrale is a hair straighter. It costs ₹36,900 in India and it is available in Black Nickel/Fuchsia and Purple/Black colour variants via the Dyson India website, Dyson Demo stores in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Chennai, Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Sephora and Nykaa and select Croma stores.
Now, Dyson Corrale has several features that make it different from the rest of the hair straighteners that are available in the market right now. Firstly, it is cord-free, which means that unlike other hair products and even straighteners, you don’t have to plug it in a socket while using it. It is powered by a four-cell lithium-ion battery, which the company says is capable of delivering the same thermal performance as a corded hair straightener would deliver.
Another interesting feature that this newly launched hair straightener has is a flight mode feature. This setting essentially disconnects that battery with the rest of the circuitry internally, which in turn ensures that it is safe for air travel. Lastly, it comes with a small OLED display that not only displays the device’s temperature setting but it also shows the battery level and whether or not flight mode has been enabled on the device.
In addition to that, there is a safety lock that automatically switches off after 10 minutes of inactivity. It also has flexible plates, which the company says leads to 50% less breakage and frizz and an integrated sensor system that regulates the temperature of the heating plates so that the device maintains a constant temperature as per the selected heat settings.
