iRobot Corp, the company famous for its Roomba robotic vacuum cleaners and Braava robotic mops, today launched a new series of robotic vacuum cleaners in India. The company today launched the Roomba i3+ and the Roomba i3 robotic vacuum cleaners in India. These robotic vacuum cleaners join the Roomba i7 series and the Roomba i9 series vacuum cleaners in the country.

The budget Roomba i3+ is available for 69,900 in India. The Roomba i3, which comes sans the Clean Base with Automatic Dirt Disposal system is available in India for 49,900. The two newly launched robotic vacuum cleaners will be available at all physical iRobot official stores, online platforms including irobot.in, Amazon and Flipkart and Croma and Reliance Digital stores across the country starting April 2021.

As a part of the launch offer, the company is offering the Roomba i3 at a price of 39,900 and the Roomba i3+ at a price of 59,900.

As far as the features, the newly launched Roomba i3+ comes with a durable, woven texture design that minimises fingerprints and collects less dust. It has a hidden-until-lit light ring that helps the robot blend into the background, only lighting up to communicate robot behaviors or notifications when the robot is actively cleaning.

On the cleaning front, the newly launched robotic vacuum cleaner comes with the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal system. With this mechanism, the robot empties the dirt collected in various cleaning missions in bags that are placed inside the docking station. iRobot says that the Roomba i3+ automatically empties up to 60 days worth of dirt and debris into the Clean Base, which doubles as the robot's charging station. The debris is then locked away in the Clean Base's enclosed AllergenLock bag that uses four layers of allergen blocking material to trap 99% of pollen and mold.

The Roomba i3+ is also equipped with a high-efficiency filter that captures 99% of pollen, mold, dust mites, and cat and dog allergens. Its three-stage cleaning system consists of dual multi-surface rubber brushes that work together to effectively clean, a specially designed edge-sweeping brush to get into corners, and a power-lifting suction, which the company says is 10x efficient as compared to the Roomba 600 series.

Users can control the Roomba i3+ with the newly redesigned iRobot Home App. It is available for download on both iOS and Android devices. iRobot says that the Roomba i3+ will offer personalised suggestions via the iRobot Home App. This includes cleaning recommendations that are based on past cleaning jobs and helpful cleaning suggestions during pet-shedding or allergy seasons among others.

Additionally, the newly launched robotic vacuum cleaners can be controlled with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant-powered devices. Lastly, the Roomba i3+ also supports Imprint Link Technology so that it can team up with the iRobot Braava jet M6 mopping robot for delivering a combined cleaning and a mopping solution.
