COVID-19 vaccine registration for 15-18 years kids: Know how to complete registration

As the active COVID cases have been increasing continuously, the government has started the vaccine registration for children between 15 and 18 years. Parents and guardians can register their kids on the CoWin portal for vaccination by using AADHAAR card, PAN Card, Unique Disability ID, Ration card with Photo and School Photo ID card.

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya appealed to parents to complete the registration for eligible children as soon as possible. According to official estimates, nearly 10 crore children in the 15-18 age group are targeted for the vaccination drive . The Union Health Ministry has announced that Covaxin will be administered to eligible children in two doses at an interval of 28 days.

How to register on CoWin portal

Step 1: To complete the registration for Covid-19 vaccine, go to the CoWin portal https://www.cowin.gov.in/home or download the CoWin app.

Step 2: On the right-hand top corner page, you’ll see the Register/Sign In tab. Click on that.

Step 3: Next, enter your 10-digit mobile number. You can also opt to sign-in through Aarogya Setu or UMANG account.

Step 4: An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number, enter the OTP to complete the verification.

Step 5: Once your OTP is verified, click on the Register Member option. It must be noted that a total of 4 members are allowed to register through one mobile number.

Step 6: Enter the name, age, gender, your photo ID proof type and ID number. Enter your name as mentioned in your Photo ID proof as you’ll be asked to show the ID at the vaccination centre.

Step 7: Submit the details and you’re a successfully registered member now. Notably, the same registration steps will be followed for each member.

Step 8: After the registration is completed, book a vaccination slot by clicking the Schedule button.

Step 9: Now search the available vaccination slot by nearby areas or your area pin code. You’ll see the list of centres and availability. You can also filter your search based on your preference like Age 18+, Age 45+, Covishield, Covaxin, Paid and Free.

Step 10: The available slots are denoted with green colour mentioning the number of slots available. You can click on the same and complete booking as per your. On successful booking, details about your vaccination appointment will be displayed on the screen and sent in SMS as well.
