Most people have turned to laptops nowadays due to their versatile nature. However, laptops have a nasty habit of dying on you just when you need them most. But, if you are careful, you can manage your laptop's battery life and make it last through the day and not just that, increase its lifespan manifold. Many times the user is to blame- the extra power consumption may be caused by heating issues due to poorly ventilated environment or, you have too many tasks and tabs open at the same time and the same remains 24/7. All these factors add stress to your Windows laptop battery too. And with the extended work from home routine due to the worldwide pandemic, laptops are virtually never shut down. So, what is the solution for your laptop's short battery life on day to day basis as well as over the long term? Just small tricks and changes in the habit of the laptop's battery charging can help to boost or even expand the battery life.

For users who always prefer to keep their system connected, laptop companies recommend setting the max charge limit at 80 percent, so that it can stop charging at that point instead of keeping on charging after its full capacity, which degrades the battery life over a period of time. Whether you are using a Windows laptop from HP, Lenovo, Asus, Dell, MSI, or any other brand, you can enable or disable the Adaptive Battery Optimizer that will allow your system to optimize the battery pack for longer life.
