Apple has added two new voices for Siri with the latest software update. Apple also no longer defaults Siri's voice to a female one. The new changes are available with iOS 14.5 that is now available to iPhone users globally. This update also brings Apple's ad tracking changes, option to unlock iPhone with face mask on, and more.

iPhone users can now download and install the latest iOS 14.5 update globally. You can do this by going to the Settings menu, and selecting ‘Software update' under ‘General'. Here, you'll see the option to download and install iOS 14.5 on your iPhone. Once your iPhone is up to date with iOS 14.5 you can follow these steps to change Siri's voice. It's worth noting that Apple will also prompt you to pick a default voice for Siri once the software update is installed.

Open the Settings menu, and go to ‘Siri & Search'.

Scroll down and select ‘Siri Voice'.

Select ‘American' from the list of languages.

Then choose among the four voices available.

At present, the new Siri voices are available for the American accent. You can follow the same steps to change the voice of Siri. “These new Siri voices use Neural Text to Speech technology for an incredibly natural sound,” Apple said in a release. In addition to new voices, Siri has also been updated with support for Group FaceTime calls. Siri can also announce incoming calls through AirPods or compatible Beats headphones, and emergency contacts.
