PM Kisan eKYC last date nearing: Do it online now; here is how

The due date or last date to complete the eKYC for the PM Kisan Scheme is nearing. Here is how you can do it online.

It is mandatory for the registered Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Scheme beneficiaries to complete the eKYC process. The last date to do the same is nearing. It can be noted that PM Kisan Scheme beneficiaries need to complete the KYC process by July 31, 2022. According to the information provided on the PM Kisan Portal “eKYC is MANDATORY for PMKISAN Registered Farmers. OTP Based eKYC is available on PMKISAN Portal or nearest CSC centres may be contacted for Biometric based eKYC. Deadline of eKYC for all the PMKISAN beneficiaries has been extended till 31st July 2022."

In case you miss the chance to make PM Kisan account KYC compliance, you may not be able to receive the next PM Kisan installment in your bank account. Therefore it is advised to get the eKYC as early as possible so that you do not have any issues in receiving the PM Kisan 12 installment in your bank accounts. It can be known that the 11th installment of the PM Kisan scheme was released by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 31, 2022, by fixing an amount of around Rs. 21,000 crore for 10 Crore farmers.

With the help of the PM Kisan scheme, the central government tends to provide income support to all landholding farmers' families in the country. An annual financial benefit of Rs. 6,000 is being provided to eligible beneficiary farmer families under the scheme. The amount is credited directly to the bank account of the farmers in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each, every 4th month. PM Kisan: How to complete the KYC process online

Step 1:

Go to the official website of PM Kisan or click on the link- http://pmkisan.nic.in/.

Step 2:

Look for the ‘Farmers Corner’ section on the homepage and click on ‘eKYC’ mentioned under it.

Step 3:

As you will click on the eKYC option, you will be redirected to the ‘OTP Based Ekyc’ page where you need to enter your Aadhaar number and then click on ‘Search’.

Step 4:

Enter your mobile number which is linked with Aadhaar, once your Aadhaar number is displayed. You will then have to click on ‘Get OTP’.

Step 5:

Enter the OTP in the required field received on your phone and proceed further.

Step 6:

As the OTP is verified and all the details match, the eKYC process will be successfully completed.
