And the same goes when it comes to WhatsApp chat details. However, the concern seems to have been resolved now, as WhatsApp has finally confirmed that users will be able to transfer their chat details from Android to iPhone and vice versa. The messaging application has also informed about the steps you need to follow in order to move the chat details. It can be known that WhatsApp users can transfer their account information, profile photo, individual chats, group chats, chat history, media, and settings. WhatsApp on Wednesday took to its official Twitter handle to inform about the same. "A new way to keep the chats that mean the most 📱📲 Today, you’ll have the ability to transfer your entire chat history from Android to iOS and vice versa. Now you have the freedom to switch to and from your preferred devices," the tweet read. ## Here is how you can transfer WhatsApp details from Android to iPhone. Step 1: You will have to open the Move to iOS app on your Android phone and keep following the details mentioned on the screen. Step 2: A code will be displayed on your iPhone. You will have to enter this code on your Android device once asked for. Step 3: You will then have to click on Continue and follow the on-screen directions. Step 4: Now, select WhatsApp on the Transfer Data screen. Step 5: You will then have to click on START on your Android phone, and wait for WhatsApp to prepare the data for export. It can be noted that you will be signed out from your Android phone once the data is prepared. Step 6: Click NEXT to return to the Move to iOS app. Step 7: Then tap CONTINUE to transfer the data from your Android phone to your iPhone and wait for Move to iOS to confirm the transfer is complete. Step 8: You will then have to install the latest version of WhatsApp from the App Store. Step 9: Open WhatsApp and log in using the same phone number used on your old device. Step 10: Tap Start when prompted, and allow the process to complete. Step 11: Finish activating your new device and you will see your chats waiting for you.
