Windows 11 offers the built-in tools (Snip & Sketch and Snipping Tool), and several keyboard shortcuts that will allow you to take a screenshot in an instant. So, here we have enlisted built-in Windows screenshot tools as well as other shortcuts to take screenshots in Windows 11. Check out these 5 ways to take screenshot on Windows 11

This is the simplest and easiest way to capture your entire screen. You can simply tap on the Print Screen (labeled PrtScn) key and take the screenshot. Once done. it will be copied to the clipboard which you will need to paste on any image editing tool such as Microsoft Paint to save the file. Do remember that this may not work on all keyboards.

Windows key + Print Screen Another shortcut is tapping on Windows key + Print Screen to capture your entire screen. This way, the screenshot is automatically saved to the Pictures > Screenshots folder.

Alt + Print Screen

Tapping on Alt + Print Screen is also one of the quick ways to grab the screenshot of the active window. The screenshot is copied to clipboard and you'll need to open the shot in an image editor to save it.

Snipping tool

Though Windows 11 has removed the Snipping tool from the start menu, it's easily accessible via the search bar. To begin with the same, you'll have to click on the New button and select the part of the display that you want to capture. Do note that the Snipping Tool does not automatically save your screenshots, you will have to manually save them in the tool before exiting the tab.

Snip & Sketch

The Snip & Sketch tool is the easier way to access, share and annotate screenshots than the Snipping Tool. The easiest way to find Snip & Sketch is tapping the keyboard shortcut Windows key + Shift + S or you can find it from the Start button as well as in the notification panel. Once you click on the tool, it will dim your screen and open a tiny menu at the top of your screen with the options - rectangular, free-form, window or full-screen.

Select the option and take your screenshot, it will be saved to your clipboard. It will show up momentarily as a notification in the lower-right corner of your screen, click on that and the screenshot will be saved.
