HP Spectre x360, the flagship laptops from HP, is now taking on the recently launch Apple MacBook Air and MacBook Pro with M2 chips. Both the laptops get a refreshed design, lots of smart features inside, and lots of performance upgrades. The Spectre x360 comes in two sizes this year – a new 13.5-inch size and a 16-inch size. Both the models are based on the newest 12th Gen Intel processors.

The HP Spectre x360 series is available in two colour schemes – Nightfall Black with pale brass accent, and Nocturne Blue with celestial blue accents. The HP Spectre 13.5 x360 will be available at a price of Rs. 129,999 and the HP Spectre 16 x360 will be available at a price of Rs. 139,999. Both new HP Spectre x360 laptops are currently available for pre-bookings via the HP website, select HP World stores, Croma, and Reliance stores.

HP Spectre x360 gets BIG refresh for 2022

The Spectre x360 16 (2022) model gets a 16-inch 4K OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. Note that this display also supports touchscreen input, is VESA certified, and is assisted by a 5MP IR camera. HP says its HP Auto Frame camera feature keeps the user in focus wherever they are, kind of like Apple's CenterStage. The AI-based privacy alerts feature blurs the screen when someone is behind in a bid to enhance privacy in public workspaces.

The laptop also gets features such as walk away lock and wake on approach. HP also bakes in Health and Well-being features like Screen distance reminder and Screen time reminder for a quick break. There's even support for Gesture controls like pause, play, forward and previous. The laptop also includes directional beam-forming microphones and quad speakers along with bi-directional AI noise reduction to offer enhanced video and audio call experiences.

As for performance, the Spectre x360 16 runs on the 12th Gen Intel Core i7 processor along with Intel ARC graphics. Connectivity options on the HP Spectre x360 16 include Wi-Fi 6e and Thunderbolt 4 other than the I/O ports. HP promises up to 16 hours of battery life on a single charge, and there's support for fast charging that does 50 percent charging in 30 minutes.

The HP Spectre x360 13.5 model, on the other hand, has a smaller 13.5-inch 3000X2000 pixel OLED display with touchscreen input. Rest of the specs remains unchanged from the 16-inch model, expect for the GPU which is an Intel iris Xe graphics solution instead of the powerful ARC system.
