Microsoft Surface Laptop 4 launched with Intel 11th-gen, AMD Ryzen 4000 series processors

After teasing its new Surface laptop a day ago, Microsoft has finally announced its Surface Laptop 4. The device comes in two screen sizes - 13.5-inch and 15-inch and are further diversified based on Intel and AMD chipsets. Some other Surface accessories were also announced.

The 13.5-inch model is available for pre-orders in the US, Canada and Japan. There are some special offers for those ordering before April 15 as well. It comes in Ice Blue and Platinum Alcantara, and Sandstone and Matte Black finishes. The prices start at $999.99 (Rs. 75,270 approx.) for the AMD model and $1,299.99 (Rs. 97,855 approx.) for the Intel version. The 15-inch Surface Laptop 4 Platinum and Matte Black metal finish, and starts at $1,299.99 (Rs. 97,855 approx.) for the AMD version, $1,799.99 (Rs. 1,35,520 approx.) for the Intel variant. For now, there is no word when this laptop will be coming to India.

As for the specifications, the Surface Laptop 4 comes in two screen sizes as mentioned above - 13.5-inch and 15-inch with (2256 x 1504 pixels) PixelSense display with 3:2 aspect ratio. The Intel model runs on Intel 11th-gen Core i5 and i7 chipsets while the AMD version runs on AMD Ryzen 5 4680U and Radeon Graphics. These are supported by 8GB or 16GB LPDDR4X RAM, and 256GB or 512GB SSD storage.

There is a 720p f/2.0 front camera along with 3.5mm headphone jack support, Dual far-field Studio Mics and Omnisonic speakers with Dolby Atmos. On the battery front, the 13.5-inch model can deliver up to 19 hours (AMD Ryzen) and up to 17 hours (Intel) of battery life while the larger 15-inch model is claimed to deliver up to 17.5 hours of battery (AMD) and 16.5 hours on Intel.
