Apple iPhone 12 to cost higher despite not bundling charger or EarPods
Apple iPhone 12 might not come with the charger or EarPods in the box. Despite that the iPhone 12 is expected to cost higher.
Apple's iPhone 12 series is expected to cost slightly lower than previous models considering there won't be any charger or EarPods. But an analyst seems to think the opposite.
Analyst Jeff Pu predicted that the iPhone 12 series will start at $749 ( ₹56,300 approx) for the 5.4-inch model. This is an increase of $50 if we compare it to last year's iPhone 11 which costs $699 ( ₹56,300 approx). Pu added that the higher pricing is due to the fact that the iPhone 12 series will come with 5G support and OLED displays.
Going by this pricing it would be quite surprising if Apple actually decides not to bundle the charger or EarPods with the iPhone 12 models. Pu however says that this pricing will not affect demand and consumers will accept it mainly because they're getting 5G. It will however stir controversy if the accessories don't come in the box.
Leakster Jon Prosser had also revealed the expected pricing for the iPhone 12 series. Prosser said the iPhone 12 series will start at $649 ( ₹48,900 approx) which is actually lower than the iPhone 11. And this is for the 5G model. Apple is reportedly planning an LTE model of the 5.4-inch iPhone 12 which is rumoured to start at $549. There's clearly lots of confusion in the pricing for iPhone 12.
Apple is expected to launch for 5G iPhones this year. The base model would be the 5.4-inch iPhone 12. 6.1-inch iPhone 12 will come in two variants where one will have dual cameras, and the other will have triple sensors. The high-end model would be the 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max.
