Apple iPhone 12 Pro key camera, display upgrades revealed in hands-on video
The new hands-on video also clears the air on whether to expect the 120Hz refresh rate on the new iPhone 12 or not. Here is what you need to know about Apple’s next smartphone series.
Apple iPhone 12 series is set to debut soon. Ahead of the official launch, Apple's upcoming phones have been subjected to multiple leaks, leaving very little to the imagination. And now, a real hands-on video of iPhone 12 Pro Max has appeared online.
Leakster Jon Prosser has gotten hold of a PVT (Production Validation Test) unit of the iPhone 12 Pro Max. He pointed out that PVT unit isn't the final version of the phone, but is very close to what consumers will get when it officially launches.

True Depth array same size.
Bezels are “noticeably thinner”
Slightly larger display - making the notch “appear” smaller.
Face ID works from wider angles. Even flat on a table.
Sides are flat, but glass has slight curve.
Rear cam module is 10% larger.
The first big feature revealed by Prosser in the iPhone 12 Pro Max hands-on video is the debut of LiDAR camera. The phone will come with LiDAR-assisted autofocus. The leaked camera setting reveals a bunch of other customisation options such as enhanced night mode, advanced noise reduction, bit depth video, and zoom capabilities.
Next up is the much-awaited 120Hz refresh rate on the iPhone 12 Pro Max. The leaked setting interface reveals users will have the option to enable a high refresh rate or enable adaptive refresh rate.
Another important thing to note is that the iPhone 12 Pro Max appears to have a larger screen. The boat-shaped notch still exists on the new iPhone. It is said to be the same size as the older iPhones. The phone has a flat display.
“Bezels are smaller, display is a tad larger — making the notch “appear” a little smaller,” Prosser said in a tweet.
Apple's iPhone 12 is expected to launch in October, about a month later than its traditional September cycle. This year's iPhones are going to come with big camera upgrades. You can also expect a better processor and other optimisations under the hood. There are also rumours of Apple introducing the long-awaited AirPower universal charger along with the iPhone 12.
