(HT Tech) ![Author Photo](https://images.hindustantimes.com/tech/static/revamp/images/png/HTTech-new-circle-logo.png) ### By HT TECH The best iPhone that you can get right now is none other than the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, the flagship phones Apple launched last year. But within a few months, you will have a choice of new iPhones - the iPhone 14 series! iPhone 14 launch is scheduled for September. But, to make sure the new phones are not undercut by the older models, Apple may create some room for the upcoming iPhones- iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. In effect, Apple is likely to kill off some smartphones. And these can be the best ones! Notably, Apple has always been silent about its future plans, whether it is about the launch date or even the iPhone model specs! Nothing has been confirmed yet officially for the iPhone 14 series. So, right now, it's the rumour mills and tipsters that are delivering all the information available for the iPhone 14 and its variants. The latest report by Tom's Guide has looked at Apple's previous patterns and noted that it expects the company to remove some iPhones from its lineup. What are the possibilities? Let’s have a look here. ### iPhone 14 launch impact on older iPhones Currently, Apple officially sells eight iPhones including the iPhone 13 series, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 11, and the latest iPhone SE 2022. Some other older iPhones are available at selected retailers and phone carriers for purchase too. According to the report, any iPhones that may disturb or take buyers' eyes away from the sales of the upcoming iPhone 14 series would likely disappear. Also read click here. And while analyzing the previous patterns, it is suggested that Apple may kill off the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. Significantly, since the start of Pro and Pro Max models back in 2019, Apple never kept any of its Pro versions for more than a year. With the launch of the iPhone 11 series, Apple dropped the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max for sale. Not just that, Apple also rarely keeps phones for more than three years after their release date. Yes! That means the iPhone 11 which was launched in September 2019, can also be headed for the killing fields. Well, it is worth noting that Apple hasn’t confirmed anything yet, and even if Apple will remove these iPhones, there will always be select retailers, e-commerce websites, and phone carriers who will continue to sell iPhones like the iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, and more- till the goods last.
