Asus ROG Phone 5 pre-order in India goes live today

Asus ROG Phone 5 was supposed to go on sale today but it will instead be available for pre-order.

Asus ROG Phone 5 will be available for pre-order today in India. The new gaming phone was initially scheduled to go on sale today but it has been changed to pre-order. The company is yet to announce when the phone will go on sale. Asus ROG Phone 5 launched in India last month.

Pre-orders for the ROG Phone 5 will begin at 12 noon today on Flipkart. Interested consumers can head to the e-commerce website and pre-book the phone. It comes in two variants starting at 49,999 for the base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Asus ROG Phone 5 with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at 57,999. The smartphone will be available in two colour options of Phantom Black and Storm White.

In terms of specs, Asus ROG Phone 5 features a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display which is HDR10+ certified, and has Gorilla Glass Victus protection on top. It also has a 144Hz refresh rate and 300Hz touch sampling rate. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G processor paired with Adreno 660 GPU.

There's a triple camera setup on the ROG Phone 5 featuring a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 sensor, a 13-megapixel ultra wide angle lens, and a 5-megapixel macro sensor. It features a 24-megapixel front camera for selfies.

Asus ROG Phone 5 packs a 6,000mAh battery with support for up to 65W fast charging. The phone ships with a 30W charger. On the software front, ROG Phone 5 runs Android 11 with ROG UI layered on top.
