A few months back, Asus launched its compact flagship smartphone Asus 8z in India, it is basically the Asus Zenfone 8, which was launched a year ago in the global markets. Now, the company is all set to launch its successor Asus Zenfone 9 on July 28. The next-gen flagship will make its global debut in New York at 9 am, in Berlin at 3 pm, and in Taipei at 9 pm, the company confirmed via its official website. The launch event of Asus Zenfone 9 will be live-streamed online via the official company website. Sadly, the website doesn't mention India in regard to the launch. Will Asus Zenfone 9 be launched in India on time, unlike the Asus 8z? Well, this is yet to be revealed by the company.

Nevertheless, a recent alleged promo video of the smartphone, which was posted online a few days back, revealed some key specifications of the upcoming Asus Zenfone 9. Here's what the next compact flagship smartphone Asus Zenfone 9 is expected to offer.

Asus Zenfone 9 expected specs and features

Exactly what it will have to offer is still a mystery, as Asus hasn't confirmed anything yet. However, according to the video, Asus Zenfone 9 is expected to have a 5.9-inch Samsung AMOLED display with support of a 120Hz refresh rate. It may also have an in-display fingerprint scanner. Not just that, it is also expected to pack the latest Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.

    Not sure which
    mobile to buy?

The alleged promo video suggests that the phone will be available in multiple colour options with a hole-punch display design. However, on the back, it carries a dual camera module with a LED flash, that too with the support for the six-axis gimbal stabiliser. The latest leaks and rumours suggest that it will support a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary camera. The other miscellaneous specs include a 4,300mAh battery, dual stereo speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
