Black Shark 3S gaming smartphone with Snapdragon 865, 12GB RAM launched in China

Black Shark, a brand better known for its gaming smartphones, expanded its portfolio with Black Shark 3S handset. Launched in China, the new gaming smartphone is priced at CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs. 42,620) for the 12GB+128GB model and CNY 4,299 (roughly Rs. 45,800) for 12GB+256GB model. Considering the company’s presence in India is not high, we are not expecting it to launch here. At least for now.

Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, the Black Shark 3S sports a 6.67-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED screen with 20:9 aspect ratio. It also features 500nits brightness levels, DCI-P3 colour gamut and MEMC motion compensation technology.
The camera department comprises of a primary 64-megapixel sensor with f/1.8 aperture, 13-megapixel wide-angle sensor with 120-degree FoV and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. At the front, you get a 20-megapixel selfie camera.
Backed by a 4,729mAh battery, Black Shark 3S supports 65W fast charging tech, which is also one of the fastest that you get in smartphones right now.
If you have been following the market, you will notice that Black Shark 3S is not as powerful as the Asus ROG Phone 3, which recently launched in India. The handset has 144Hz refresh rate AMOLED screen, 6000mAh battery and Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ SoC. It even has a bunch of accessories to complement the gaming experience.

The ROG Phone 3 cost ₹49,999 for the base (8GB+128GB) model and ₹57,999 for the 12GB+256GB model. Sales will begin August 6 via Flipkart.
