Galaxy M52 5G features revealed by Samsung ahead of India launch

The Samsung Galaxy M52 5G has been listed on Samsung’s Polish website, revealing all specs and features ahead of its launch in India.

The Galaxy M52 5G uses the same Snapdragon 778G chip as the Galaxy A52s 5G launched a while ago.

The Galaxy M52 5G is launching in India on September 28 as the successor to the highly acclaimed Galaxy M51 from last year. This year's model will have 5G support along with a faster processor. While Samsung India has revealed some of the features, its Polish counterpart has listed the phone officially, revealing all the specifications. The Samsung Galaxy M52 5G is a lot different than last year's M51.

The phone has the same pattern design as seen on previous affordable Galaxy M and Galaxy A series devices. Samsung Galaxy M52 5G price, though, is yet to be revealed.

Galaxy M52 5G features revealed

In India, Samsung has so far confirmed a couple of the key features on the Galaxy M52 5G. Continuing the tradition, the Galaxy M52 5G will have a Qualcomm chip and Samsung has chosen the Snapdragon 778G chip from the Galaxy A52s 5G. Accompanying this will be the support for 11 5G bands.

In terms of display, the M52 5G will have a Full HD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. However, the display will measure 6.7-inches and will have a centrally located punch-hole camera. The phone will have a thickness profile of 7.9mm and will host the capacitive fingerprint scanner on the power button.

Samsung's OneUI 3.1 based on Android 11 will be available right out of the box. Unlike its predecessor's mammoth 7000mAh battery, the Galaxy M52 5G will have a comparatively smaller 5000mAh battery.

When it comes to the cameras, the basic setup remains largely unchanged. The main camera features a 64-megapixel sensor and that is accompanied by an 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera. The third camera is a 5-megapixel macro shooter. Samsung is using a 32-megapixel sensor for the selfie camera.

What remains to be seen is how Samsung ends up pricing the Galaxy M52 5G in India. Rumours have so far hinted at a possible price tag of ₹30,000, slotting under the Galaxy A52s 5G. At this price, the Galaxy M52 5G will go up against the likes of the Xiaomi Mi 11X 5G, Motorola Edge 20, Realme GT Master Edition and a couple of other alternatives.
