Gmail is one of the most widely used email services. It offers several useful features including snoozing mail to scheduling. Recently Google has even rolled out a new UI update for Gmail making it easy to switch between tabs. Additionally, Gmail also gets more emoji support and accessibility capabilities. In fact, there are so many Gmail features that many remain hidden from us forever. So, check out these top 5 most useful features of Gmail that you must learn about:

Snooze feature

Gmail has a function called "snoozing emails". They notify people to read their email especially when they're busy. This is a feature that is grossly underutilized. Once you enable this feature for an email, Gmail moves that email out of the inbox and places it somewhere else for the time it has been "snoozed."

Undo feature

Sometimes, we send an email to a wrong person or unknowingly make some mistakes and realize it only after tapping the send option. In such a case, you can "Undo" the emails you've sent. You can even specify the time under which you can undo a sent email. Thankfully, Gmail itself provides a small alert every time to remind you.

Scheduling of emails

You know if you don't want to send an email instantly, you can schedule it for later. When you create an email, instead of pressing the send button, tap on the options and schedule it for later. Do note that You can only schedule one email at a time.

Enable desktop notifications

To make sure you don't miss that all-important message, enable desktop notifications by going to the Settings menu and enabling ‘Desktop Notifications'. You can even customize the emails to receive ‘important' emails only.

Archive emails rather than delete

If you want to keep your inbox clear without deleting older messages, you can ‘archive' them.

You can manually archive your mails by hitting the ‘Archive' button in the top toolbar. You can also go into the ‘All Mail' folder and scroll back through the messages you have archived – Gmail won't get rid of anything unless you tell it to.
