Google rolled out the beta version of its Phone app in the Play Store earlier this April. This is the default Phone app for stock Android that's available on Google's Pixel phones and Android One phones as well. The Google Phone app can now be downloaded on more phones.

The full device compatibility list for the Google Phone beta app cannot be confirmed but it's showing up for Samsung and OnePlus phones, according to Android Police. It's compatible with phones such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip, Galaxy S20 Ultra, OnePlus 8 series and more. Other Android phone users can also try out the Google Phone app by enrolling in its beta programme through this link.

Do note that since this is a beta version, the Phone app may not work as expected. There would be some hiccups with the app. Also, the beta version of the Phone app doesn't support features such as ‘Call Screen' which is exclusive to Pixel users in the US. This feature is perfect for spam calls as it lets you choose Google Assistant to speak on your behalf. You can always take over the call from Assistant.

Google hasn't announced yet when it plans to roll out the stable version of the Phone app.
