Google Pixel 5, Pixel 4A 5G set to launch tonight, all you need to know
Google Pixel 5 and Pixel 4A 5G are set to launch tonight at the company’s ‘Launch Night In’ event. Here are expected specifications, features, and price of the two new premium phones.
Google will host its Launch Night In event tonight. At the event, Google will take the wraps off its latest flagship phone, Pixel 5. The company will also announce the 5G version of Pixel 4. New Nest smart speaker and next-generation Chromecast are also going to make their debut.
Google Pixel 5
Google Pixel 4 was a big improvement over the predecessor. The company is likely to continue the tradition with Pixel 5 as well. The smartphone is expected to come with a more premium design with a familiar square camera module on the back. The radar-based motion-sensing feature will be removed from the new premium phone.
As far as specifications go, Google Pixel 5 will come with a 6.5-inch full HD+ OLED display with 90Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole cutout in the top left corner. It has HDR 10+ panel with 19:5:9 aspect ratio and comes with Gorilla Glass 6 protection.
In the camera department, Pixel 5 will offer at least two sensors – 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and 12.2-megapixel primary sensor. We can expect Google to implement lots of software optimisations to improve the photography experience.
For performance, Google Pixel 5 will run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor. The choice of the chipset is rather interesting as Google has always used high-end Qualcomm chips on its flagship phones. According to reports, Google Pixel 5 will come with a bigger 4,080mAh battery coupled with 18W charging.
Other things you can expect from Google Pixel 5 is Android 11 out-of-the-box, and IP68 water and dust resistance.
Google Pixel 5 is likely to go on sale on October 15. It will be priced at $700, which is ₹51,670 approximately.
Google Pixel 4A 5G
The 5G version of Pixel 4A is likely to come with a variety of upgrades. For instance, it will have a larger 6.2-inch OLED display but with 60Hz refresh rate. The vanilla model has a 5.8-inch full HD+ display.
The battery capacity will be increased to 3,885mAh coupled with 18W charging. The phone is likely to run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor, just like the premium Pixel 5.
Rest of Google Pixel 4A 5G specifications are likely to remain unchanged. It will also have the same plastic shell. The 5G Pixel 4A could go on sale much later in November. It is said to be priced around $500, roughly ₹37,000.
