Google Pixel 5 shows up in AI benchmarks, reveals processor and RAM details
The listing also shows that smartphone to feature 8GB RAM and Android 11, which for now is in beta.
Google has already announced its Pixel 5 is coming at some point. The side shot of the handset was also seen at the time when Pixel 4a launched. Now, the smartphone seems to have been spotted in a benchmark website, revealing some of the specs. The AI benchmark, kind of reconfirms the claim of Pixel 5 sporting the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor, which supports 5G as well. This might come as a slight change for Pixel fans as the company has always opted for the top of the line Snapdragon 8xx series chipsets for its Pixel flagship.
The listing also shows that smartphone to feature 8GB RAM and Android 11, which for now is in beta. Using an upper mid-range processor with 8GB RAM will probably help Google keep the cost of the handset in control, make it affordable for a wider audience. However, it might be a possibility that its ‘XL' version could feature a Snapdragon 8xx series processor and more RAM. The rumoured smartphone is codenamed as ‘bramble'.

Based on some previous rumours, the Pixel 5 series is expected to feature a punch-hole display, which might be similar to what Pixel 4a has. At the back, there could be a dual camera setup as well.
At the time of Pixel 4a launch, Google confirmed that besides the Pixel 5, it will also launch the 5G version of Pixel 4a. The two smartphones will be launching this fall at a starting price of $499. Unfortunately, both won't be coming to India. This will be happening for the second time as the search giant skipped Pixel 4 launch from the Indian market last year. And to add to the woes, the Pixel 4a will be coming in India by October this year.
