Honor Play 5T Life launched (Honor )

Honor has quietly launched a new smartphone in China. Called Honor Play 5T Life, the handset comes in blue and black colour options. The phone is currently available for pre-order and is priced at CNY 1,299 ( ₹15,000 approximately).

Honor Play 5T Life looks identical to some of the recently launched Honor phones. The front houses a dewdrop-like notch. The back has a rectangular camera module at the top left corner. It houses as many as four camera sensors. The phone comes with a side-mounted fingerprint reader as well.

In terms of specifications, Honor Play 5T Life comes with a 6.6-inch display with HD+ resolution and an LCD panel. The dewdrop-like notch on the front houses an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The quad-camera setup on the back has a 13-megapixel primary sensor, a 5-megapixel ultrawide sensor, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. There is also an LED flash on the back.

For performance, Honor Play 5T Life relies upon MediaTek's Helio P35 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage. The phone also supports expandable storage up to 512GB via a microSD card. It packs a 5,000mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging support.

On the software front, it runs Android 10-based MagicUI 4.0. In terms of connectivity, the phone has a 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.1, and Wi-Fi. As of now, there is no word on when or whether the handset will roll out in other markets.

Honor Play 5T Life follows the launch of the Honor V40 Lite Luxury Edition. The phone has a 6.57-inch curved OLED panel with full HD resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It comes with a 32-megapixel selfie camera. On the back, it has a combination of a 64-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor.

The handset runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 800U processor coupled with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB storage. The base model has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage. It packs a 3,800mAh battery with 66W fast charging support.
