Huawei P50 series to launch by March end

Huawei's flagship smartphone series is expected to feature P50, P50 Pro and P50 Pro+.

Huawei's flagship P50 smartphone series will reportedly launch between March 26 and March 28. This launch timeline goes with the company's schedule of launching the flagship smartphone series.

Huawei's P50 series is expected to feature the P50, P50 Pro and P50 Pro+. The Huawei P50 is said to feature the Kirin 9000E chipset, while the P50 Pro and P50 Pro+ will be powered by the flagship Kirin 9000 chipset. These are the company's latest 5nm chipsets. Huawei is also said to start mass production of the P50 smartphones soon with the last prototype design locked.

The vanilla Huawei P50 is said to feature a 90Hz display, while the Pro versions will most likely come with a 120Hz display. The screen sizes will also differ with a 6.1-inc display expected on the Huawei P50, and 6.6-inch and 6.8-inch on the P50 Pro and P50 Pro+, respectively. The company is also reportedly planning to use a micro-curved display on the P50, and waterfall display on the Pro models. Leaked renders also revealed a punch-hole display on the P50 series.

The smartphones are also expected to come with camera upgrades, and we'll possibly see Leica lenses on them. Huawei is also rumoured to include the ‘Space Zoom' technology that might increase the zoom by up to 200x.

The Huawei P50 series is also expected to come with support for 66W fast charging, and 50W wireless fast charging. On the software front, these smartphones will most likely run HarmonyOS 2.0 out-of-the-box.
