Infinix has launched a new entry-level smartphone, Smart 5. Infinix Smart 5 joins the list of small but growing Android Go phones. Infinix Smart 5 has been listed on the company's global website but its price details are yet to be revealed.

There is one 3G variant of the Infinix Smart 5 which is available on the company's Nigerian website which carries a price tag of NGN 39,500 ( 7,800 approx). The smartphone isn't available in India yet but Infinix is expected to launch it here soon. It's readying two smartphones - Infinix Hot 10 and Infinix Zero 8. The new Android Go smartphone has a notched display and a rear fingerprint sensor. It comes in three colour options of blue, black and green.

In terms of specs, Infinix Smart 5 features a 6.6-inch HD+ display with a water drop notch on top. The smartphone is powered by an unspecified octa-core 1.8GHz processor. It comes with 2GB and 3GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage. This can be further expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card.

For photography, Infinix Smart 5 sports a triple camera setup at the rear. The combination has a 13-megapixel primary sensor with two QVGA sensors. Up front, there's an 8-megapixel camera with flash for selfies.

Infinix Smart 5 also packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W charging. The phone is claimed to last for four days on a single charge. Its connectivity options include dual SIM support, 4G, Wi-Fi, micro USB, 3.5mm headphone jack and FM radio. The smartphone also has DTS audio processing, and face unlock for security. On the software front, it runs the latest Android 10 (Go Edition).
