Infinix Smart 5 with 6,000mAh battery to launch in India on February 11

The phone will be available online exclusively via Flipkart. The phone will be priced under ₹8,000.

Infinix is gearing up for its first smartphone launch in India this year. The company will launch a Smart 5 smartphone on February 11. The phone will be priced under ₹8,000 and will be exclusively available through Flipkart. Infinix Smart 5 will be available in Morandi Green, 6 degrees Purple, Aegean Blue and Obsidian Black colour options. It will also come with a 6,000mAh battery.

“The all-new Smart 5 comes with a few category-first features like Slow Motion video recording that allows users to capture and edit super slow-motion videos through its advanced camera interface. For detailed specifications of the device, consumers can follow the Flipkart Intrigue store page 7th February onwards. So gear up for a superior and unforgettable smartphone experience,” the company said in a release.

More details about the phone will be on a Flipkart page that will go live on February 7.

The Smart 5 will follow Zero 8i that launched in India in December last year. Priced at ₹14,999, the Infinix Zero 8i features a 6.85-inch full HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a 180Hz touch sampling rate. The smartphone runs on MediaTek's Helio G90T processor paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It also comes with a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 256GB.

It has a quad-camera setup that features a 48-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle-lens, a 2-megapixel depth sensor and an AI lens. The dual selfie camera setup is a combination of a 16-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens.

Infinix Zero 8i also houses a 4,500mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. Its connectivity options are 4G VoLTE, VoWi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port and dual-SIM. The smartphone also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and liquid cooling. On the software front, it runs Android 10 with XOS 7 layered on top.
