iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 users will heave a sigh of relief today! With the new iOS 15.4 update now out for everyone, Apple now allows these iPhone users to unlock their phone with Face ID while wearing their face masks! Yes, you read that right. That means no more taking down the mask to peep at your iPhone just to unlock it, or rely on the old-fashioned and inconvenient Passcode. The update is already available to download on all iPhones running on iOS 15.

The feature has been in testing for a few months and has now finally made it to the iPhone 13 and iPhone 12 series. Sadly, those using the iPhone 11 and older models won't be getting this feature, considering the system requires the phone to spot special features around the eyes to unlock. Moreover, this feature will also ask users to take down the mask if it faces trouble in identifying the features around the yes. Face ID while wearing a mask can be used as authentication for unlocking iPhone, completing transactions with Apple Pay, and autofilling passwords in apps and Safari.
